PD Ports, Logistics & Shipping, the owner of Hartlepool’s North Dock, is about to submit plans for a £500m regeneration of the port.
It wants to turn 200 acres of industrial wasteland on the North Dock into a leisure and tourism destination, with waterfront flats, restaurants, shops and offices.
Around 3,500 homes will be built on the site.
