Interbrew has put its Belfast Bass Ireland brewery up for sale.
It follows an unsuccessful search to secure a new bottling contract.
The Belgian brewer hopes to conclude a sale by September. It said it would have to close its manufacturing facilities by early 2005 if it failed.
