Green light for Redhouse shed
Scarborough Development Group and Clugston Estates have got the final go-ahead for a 655,000 sq ft distribution centre at Redhouse interchange, off junction 38A1(M) near Doncaster. The warehouse will occupy a 42.8-acre site. DTZ and Gent Visick are joint agents.
Papageno building sold
West Midlands Metropolitan Authorities Pension Fund has bought Hemingway Properties’ 25-31 Wellington Street, WC2, for £26m. The Covent Garden building comprises 25,500 sq ft of offices and 22,100 sq ft of restaurants, including Orso and Papageno. CWHB advised the pension fund; John Miles & Co advised Hemingway.
Eversheds reviews property
Law firm Eversheds has appointed Chesterton for a possible 125,000-175,000 sq ft requirement in the City. Chesterton will carry out a strategic review into property for Eversheds, which has 90,000 sq ft at Senator House, Queen Victoria Street, EC4. It has breaks in its leases in June 2008 and September 2010.
Courts sails to Scotland
British Waterways Scotland has appointed former Sainsbury’s development manager Norrie Courts as property and development manager. Based in Glasgow, Courts will manage British Waterways’ Scottish portfolio. Meanwhile, the £60m Edinburgh Quay, a jv with Miller Developments, is nearing completion.
Davis House set for revamp
Terrace Hill Group has bought Davis House, next to Victoria station, SW1, from Stow Securities for £16.1m. The listed company aims to redevelop the 26,200 sq ft building as a 130,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme.
