Amtrak Express Parcels will be the first tenant at Richardson Developments’ Merlin Park industrial Estate in Birmingham Heartlands.
The overnight delivery service company has taken an 8,012 sq m (86,241 sq ft) distribution unit at the scheme, which lies between Jctns 5 and 6 of the M6 motorway just off the new Birmingham Heartlands Spine Road. It is paying £50 per sq m (£4:60 per sq ft) for the space. The unit will complement the company’s 3.6 ha (nine acre) regional headquarters at Aldridge near Walsall and should be up and running by May.
Merlin Park is made up of three main units and totals 17,049 sq m (183,516 sq ft).
