Club Med revamps US presence

Club Med has unveiled plans to renovate 13 villages in North America, as part of its €305m (FFr2bn) world investment plan to appeal to the younger end of the market.

The North American market currently accounts for only 15% of the company’s revenue. However with a €11.25m ($12m) marketing and advertising budget to relaunch its image, Club Med hopes to see it rise to 20% when it increases its holdings to 18 villages.

Philippe Bourguignon announced the company’s plans at the Sandpiper holiday village in Florida last weekend.
