Kaufman & Broad, the French subsidiary of the US company KB Home, is planning to expand. While having withdrawn from its bid to take over Marignan, Cogedim is the new object of interest. Even the company’s shareholders have stated that they are open to an eventual dilution of their stakes in the event of a new capital increase.
Kaufman & Broad is already number one on the property market in the Ile-de-France region and second on the market in Lyon and Toulouse. KB Home chairman Bruce Karatz said that while demand was down slightly in the property sector, the cycles were less severe than in other areas.
