HVB Real Estate Capital has appointed Harin Thaker as chief executive of its London branch.
Thaker, who was previously finance director, will work with managing directors Mike White (marketing) and Nigel Cox (risk management). In addition, Juergen Fenk will succeed Georg Funke as chairman of HVBREC.
Funke is to be the chief executive of HVB’s demerged property bank, Hypo Real Estate Group (of which HVBREC will be a part), when it is launched later this year.
HVB has lost a senior originator in its marketing team.
Mike Bryant has left to join GE Capital, where he starts work next month.
White said of his departure:”We’re sad to see him go, but it’s an amicable split.”
