A 31,370m2 (230,000 sq ft) sorting office is to be built at Bromley-by-Bow, E3.
ProLogis Kingspark and the Post Office have formed a joint venture for the scheme, and last week submitted a planning application for the automated processing centre.
ProLogis bought the 10.9ha (27 acre) Twelvetrees Crescent site from British Gas last year for around £865,00 per ha (£350,000 per acre). This follows a total of 278,700-371,600m2 (3m-4m sq ft) of new builds being taken in Heathrow since the start of the year.
