Fine day at the zoo for Besley Hill

Besley Hill raised more than £1.3m at its auction at Bristol Zoo last week. Among the 23 out of the 29 lots offered that sold was a vacant terrace of two shops in Lawrence Hill, Bristol. With four flats on the upper floors – three vacant, one AST – it produces £3,180 pa and sold for £175,000. An AST property in Stapleton Road, Easton, yielding £16,900 pa, made £100,000.

Jones & Chapman hit 92%

Jones & Chapman sold 48 out of 52 lots at its auction at Haydock Park last week, clocking up proceeds of £841,500. The biggest lot was a vacant semi in Bignor Street, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, arranged as four flats, which sold for £48,000.

Brothers score at Leicester FC

Shonki Brothers sold 12 lots at its auction at Leicester City Football Club last week, raising £816,250. The most expensive lot was a part-vacant industrial investment in Knighton Junction Lane, Leicester, producing £15,600, which sold for £357,750.

Willow Tree blooms at Elland Road

Willow Tree Farm in Epworth, Low Burnham, Doncaster was the most expensive lot to sell at William H Brown’s recent auction at Leeds United’s ground. The former farm with 2.5 acres sold for £95,000 and was one of 25 out of 27 lots to sell (93%), raising £690,250.

Bolton semis boost Miller Metcalf

A pair of semi-detached houses in Romney Road, Montserrat, Bolton sold for £95,000 at Miller Metcalfe’s £340,600 auction in Bolton last week. Although one house is vacant, the other is let and produces £4,460 pa. The lot was one of 17 out of 23 to be sold (74%).
