A bevy of senior brewing industry executives are lined up to give evidence over the next six weeks in a test challenge by a Staines-based publican against the former Inntrepreneur pub company, his ex-landlord.
Bernie Crehan alleges that beer ties that bound him to Inntrepreneur and Courage were illegal and he is claiming damages for losses made as a result of the agreement.
It is believed several hundred publicans have similar claims awaiting the outcome of the case and that the total damages bill could run to many millions of pounds.
