Henderson takes LandSec down transformation route

Land Securities is transforming itself from what was regarded as a dull and conservative company 10 years ago, says The Times in a corporate profile.

It says that the group has adopted a strategy designed to produce higher earnings growth and better returns under the stewardship of Ian Henderson, chief executive.

LandSec is placing its faith in Land Securities Trillium which owns or manages about 7,400 properties and has a turnover of about £650m.

This could expand further if current talks bear fruit.

The newspaper says LandSec is making all the right noises but it may take longer than expected for Henderson’s strategy to pay dividends.
