Residents of the Surrey village of Charlwood are dusting off their protest gear because of the threat of expansion at Gatwick, just two miles away.
Charlwood would not have to be demolished, only abandoned because of unbearable noise and pollution, they say.
The residents say expansion of Gatwick would create “20 years of blight”.
