Dunlop Heywood Lorenz rebuilds Manchester retail team

Dunlop Heywood Lorenz (DHL) has relaunched its Manchester retail and leisure team, four months after it was hit by the departure of a trio of agents.

John Airey (pictured top left) will lead the team.

He has been recruited from Weatheralls in Manchester, where he was head of retail and leisure.

Airey will be joined by Paul Hubball (far right), previously an agent at Lambert Smith Hampton’s Manchester office.

David Burland will handle national clients from the company’s London West End office.

In December of last year, three agents in DHL’s retail team – Richard Lucas, Andrea Stott and Mike Knowles – were poached by GVA Grimley’s retail team in Leeds.

Peter Gallagher (centre), director head of agency at DHL, said: “We are currently making a whole raft of new appointments.

“It is all part of our strategy to become the property consultancy of choice for both clients and professional staff in the North West.

“We will do this by continuously bringing bright young talent to the business and, as the market tightens, add to the resources available to our clients.”

Gallagher said other appointments had been made in the landlord/tenant and industrial agency teams in recent weeks.
