Kier looks forward
Kier Property is looking to forward sell the freehold of its 90,000 sq ft AMS House, in Frimley, Surrey, for over £35m. Work on the building, which is prelet to Alenia Marconi Systems, is due to start this year, with completion expected in Q1 2005. DTZ is advising Kier.
Prelet achievement in Midtown
Hemingway Properties has prelet 22,155 sq ft at Fairfax House, Fulwood Place, WC1, in one of the largest Midtown lettings this year. haysmacintyre has taken a 10-year lease of the basement to the second floor at over £28 per sq ft. Manor sets record in Hull
Manor Property Group has sold the BBC Queens Court building in Hull to Darnforth for around £4m, a record initial yield for the city of 6.6%. The BBC occupies 20,000 sq ft of the 115,000 sq ft development. Scotts Chartered Surveyors advised Manor.
Faircroft on buying spree
Faircroft Properties has bought a 10-strong portfolio in the South East and South West from First Quench, a shop and residential block in Pimlico, SW1, and two shops in Derby from Legal & General Assurance Society. Gooch Cunliffe Whale advised Faircroft.
