Nick Coveney has joined the board of Irish agent Colliers Jackson-Stops, a member of Colliers International, as a director and equity partner.
A surveyor, Coveney joined the company’s country homes division in 1995 before moving to the commercial department, and now heads the office department.
Companies he has advised include Microsoft, NCR, Siemens, Agere Systems, Google, Pfizer and Oracle and he is currently working with Pfizer on the acquisition of their new 75,350 sq ft headquarters building.
Coveney said: “Despite some major lettings being achieved in the city centre, the market remains slow, however I foresee a significant increase in demand and I believe we will see much of the empty space being taken up in the coming 12 months.
“Confidence has been growing consistently over the past six months, which has had a good effect in the suburbs where we have experienced far more interest from companies looking to move out from the city centre.
