Property firm wins E-commerce awards

Specialist property lawyer Pryse Jones has won this years government-sponsored E-commerce Awards. The firms website, which allows residential buyers to track the conveyancing process online, beat 11 other regional winners out of 1,200 entrants to land the prize.

The Hertfordshire-based practice, run by husband and wife team Kitty and Jon Pryse-Jones, offers online quotations and 24-hour tracking services.

Jon Pryse-Jones, IT and Marketing Manager for the practice, commented, “We see this as a vindication of our bold decision to build our business model around an e-commerce strategy. The internet has allowed us to successfully differentiate ourselves from our industry competitors, the majority of whom are much larger and better resourced than ourselves.”

The awards are organised by UK Online for Business, the Department of Trade and Industrys partnership which promotes e-commerce in small and medium sized businesses, and InterForum, which help businesses trade electronically.

Pryse Jones won a £30,000 cash prize, which was presented by the new Minister for E-Commerce Douglas Alexander at an awards ceremony last night.
