The award-winning Gidleigh Park hotel in Dartmoor, Devon, is to be sold to Andrew Brownsword – the hotelier and founder of the Forever Friends greeting cards brand – for £5m.
Paul and Kay Henderson are selling the 16-room Michelin-starred hotel after 30 years. Andrew Brownsword Hotels already owns the Bath Priory hotel in Bath and the Sydney House hotel in Chelsea, London, SW3. Brownsword also owns the Arthouse hotel in Glasgow and the Royal Clarence in Exeter with Gidleigh Park’s chef, Michael Caines.
