Duke of Bedford forms partnership with Center Parcs

The Duke of Bedford has entered into an agreement with AIM-listed holiday park company Center Parcs to build a £160m holiday village on his property at Warren Wood, near Woburn, Bedfordshire.

Centre Parcs is now applying for planning permission to build its 5th village in the UK on the 365-acre site.

The company said initial discussions with a potential project funder had taken place and that further details would be provided as the project progresses.

It added that the process of discussion and consultation with Mid Bedfordshire district council and other key consultees had started today.

Completion of the park – which in common with other Center Parcs will include accommodation, a range of indoor and outdoor leisure facilities, a sub-tropical swimming complex, a variety of restaurants and an spa – is expected to take three or four years.
