Akeler beats Miller to build BP’s new Aberdeen HQ

Akeler has beaten Miller Developments to win the contract to build oil giant BP’s new HQ in Dyce, near Aberdeen.

BP, Aberdeen’s largest private-sector employer, plans to build the 172,000 sq ft scheme at its existing facility or on a site within a 2-mile radius.

The 1,100-strong workforce currently works in an office complex dating from the 1970s.

Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker is advising BP.
