ADP move boosts lettings in Thames Valley’s Chertsey

Thames Valley town Chertsey was given a fillip this week with the biggest office letting for more than two years.

Automatic Data Processing will take 50,000 sq ft (4,600 sq m) at Syward Place in Prycroft Road, which is owned by a private client of Arlington Securities, as the new headquarters for its employer services division.

Syward Place was previously occupied by EMC, which decided to relocate to Brentford as part of a consolidation drive.

ADP has exercised a break clause and surrendered its lease at another Arlington building the 20,000 sq ft (1,900 sq m) 2 Pine Trees in Staines – which it has occupied since 1987.

Rogers Chapman acted for ADP. Atisreal advised EMC.

In Guildford, Surrey Satellite Technology has agreed a 60,000 sq ft prelet at Surrey university’s Sunny Research Park, on a 15-year lease at £27 per sq ft.

Henry Boot Developments will include a casino in its Axis scheme in Nottingham centre.

London Clubs International has just been granted a gaming licence for the new £8m, 50,000 sq ft casino. It has also taken 30,000 sq ft for a car park in the basement of the scheme.
