West London-based community housing and property manager Orchard & Shipman has merged with Campsie & Co, a chartered surveyor based in Windsor and Staines, in a £6m deal.
The merged company will continue to trade as Campsie in Windsor and Staines and Orchard & Shipman in Slough and West Drayton.
The companies said the merger provided a strong base for further expansion.
Chairman Chris Shipman said: “All the parts of this merger are made for each other. Geographically we dovetail, as we do with our areas of expertise and professional services.
“These are now very wide-ranging and encompass everything to do with property from social housing to the management of shops and offices to the sale and acquisition of substantial commercial investments.”
Campsie managing director Nigel Tindall will join the board of Orchard & Shipman with specific responsibility for commercial and professional services.
He will become managing director of a new company, Orchard & Shipman Professional, trading as Campsie, which has been formed to provide the professional base for many of these services.
