Holiday company Tui to cut staff in restructuring

Britain’s biggest holiday company, Tui UK, is to cut around 2,000 jobs, close or franchise 100 Lunn Poly shops and quit its London headquarters as part of a major restructuring.

Tui was formerly known as Thomson Holidays and still sells most of its holidays under this brand.

Last week the company announced a doubling of profits but has decided to review its business in the face of fierce competition.
