Wyevale Garden Centres, the UK's largest garden centre operator, has appointed Strutt & Parker to review its property portfolio.
Wyevale chief executive Bob Hewitt said: "This is one of the three areas of focus reported at the time of our full year results on 15 March 2005.
"We operate 114 centres in the UK and this review will help to ensure that we make the most of this very substantial asset. It will include a detailed survey and analysis of all sites to ascertain the value of existing property assets as well as values for any future alternative use."
Wyevale currently operates from 4.3m sq ft of outside space and 3.1m sq ft of coverent space.
An update on the review will be published in September, when the company reports its interim results.
