Plans for a £30m redevelopment in Wolverhampton’s Canalside Quarter have been submitted by a joint venture between Helical Retail and local developer Oswin Developments.
They plan to turn the disused Low Level train station and adjacent derelict land totalling nine acres into a residential-led scheme.
It will include 208 apartments, an 81-bedroom Travelodge hotel, a pub and a 20,000 sq ft car showroom.
The 19th-century blue-brick station will be restored, with the former platforms turned into patio areas for restaurants and bars.
The site, north of the city centre, is part of a larger regeneration area.
