Financial services company Aon and civil engineer Balfour Beatty have both signed for offices in and around the South Yorkshire city of Sheffield.
Aon has taken 37,000 sq ft on the fourth and fifth floors at Mars Pension Fund’s Fountain Precinct in Sheffield.
The firm is consolidating its operations around the city centre into one office which it will occupy at a rent of £12 per sq ft.
Meanwhile, civil engineer Balfour Beatty has moved into Building 2, Park Square, at Mountcity’s Thorncliffe Business Park, next to junction 35a of the M1 just north of the city.
Balfour Beatty agreed the lease at a rent of £12.50 per sq ft.
Head of business space at Lane Walker, Clive Stevens, said, “The deals show the strength of both city centre and out of town locations in Sheffield.
“The city has advantages in terms of the quality of workforce, living environment and location, with access to the whole of the north within easy reach.”
Aon and Balfour Beatty were advised by Lane Walker.
