Mobile phone company O2 confirmed today that it has agreed one of the largest office prelets Glasgow has seen for years.
As tipped by Estates Gazette (12/02/05), O2 has taken 110,000-sq ft at Allied London’s Skypark for use as a customer service centre and training facility.
O2’s scheme will form part of the 560,000 sq ft Skypark complex, which is located close to the M8, to the west of the city centre.
The first phase of Skypark will be ready for occupation by November. The whole project will be complete in June 2006.
Commenting on the deal, Mike Ingall, chief executive at Allied London, said: “Many of our new strategies for developing and managing assets successfully, from tenant/landlord relationships through to office services, have been pioneered at Skypark. O2’s decision is a reflection of the advances we’ve made.”
Montagu Evans and Ryden advised Allied London, while Doherty Bains represented O2.
