Minerva has appointed Salmaan Hasan, head of property finance at Deutsche Postbank London, as its new chief executive.
Hasan will fill the position vacated by Andrew Rosenfeld, the previous chief executive, who became chairman of the company in March.
He has been responsible for over £5bn of structured real estate transactions throughout the UK and Europe, working with many of the UK’s major property development and investment groups.
These include CIT Group, where he was responsible for the funding of More London, Heron International, where he was responsible for the current financing of ‘Heron Plaza’, as well as Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund, Delancey, and MWB Group.
He also advised Prince al Waleed bin Talal on the redevelopment of the Hotel George V in Paris.
He has also been involved in project financing a number of Minerva’s assets, including The Minerva Building and The Walbrook.
Hasan previously worked for Samuel Montagu, Industrial Bank of Japan and BHF Bank, London.
Andrew Rosenfeld, the chairman of Minerva, said: “Salmaan possesses a rare combination of strong financial and real estate experience and has the additional advantage of already having a knowledge of our business.
“These factors, together with his leadership qualities, provide Minerva with a great future.”
