Pillar signs clutch of lettings at Manchester retail park

Pillar Properties has agreed terms with a number of new tenants for its Crownpoint Shopping Park in Denton, east Manchester

Fashion retailer H&M has signed for a 15,000 sq ft unit and Mothercare has taken 10,000 sq ft at the scheme on undisclosed terms.

The outlet will be H&M’s fifth out-of-town unit.

Additionally, Pillar has let 8,000 sq ft to River Island and 5,000 sq ft to Virgin on 15-year leases.

Boots, BhS, TK Maxx, Dorothy Perkins, Burton, JD Sports and others have already taken space at the 265,000 sq ft out-of-town scheme.

Typical rents at the scheme are around £30 per sq ft.

Crownpoint is located close to junction 1 of the M67.

The scheme was originally developed by Reeb Estates and forward sold to Pillar, which completed its purchase last August.

Dalgleish advised Pillar on the lettings.
