Detailed plans submitted for Battersea Power Station

Parkview International has submitted the first of its detailed plans for the £1.5bn redevelopment of London’s Battersea Power Station.

Parkview’s proposals include a leisure ride in one of the landmark building’s iconic chimneys.

The applications comprise three tranches of reserved matters applications and an application for listed building consent relating to the power station and its four chimneys.

Wandsworth council awarded outline consent for the regeneration of the 38-acre site in January 2005.

Parkview’s proposals include:

● A 1.47m sq ft redevelopment of the power station that will include a mix of leisure, shops, restaurants, a concert arena and conferencing;

● A 460-room urban resort hotel and spa and a 700-room conference hotel, a 2,000-seat theatre/auditorium, 750,000 sq ft of office space and housing.

Today’s application comprises proposals for the design of the combined heat and power plant (CHP), the car park and landscaping to the north and south of the power station that will include the Riverside Walk.
