Good day for Dreweatt Neate

Swindon-based auction house Dreweatt Neate enjoyed a 90% success rate at its second sale of property and land in the local area, making in excess of £1.5m from the auction. Partner David Stubbs was “delighted” with the outcome. Commercial property in Swindon sold particularly well. A retail investment in Bridge Street, for example, was sold, prior to auction, on a yield of 6.1%. Auctioneer Charles Lucas reported strong local interest in residential investments and development sites.

Ball & Percival have a ball

Southport firm Ball & Percival, part of The Venmore Partnership, held a charity ball and raised a record £29,000 for a children’s hospice. Signed Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs shirts were among the lots sold.

Fox & Sons takes to the coast

Fox & Sons held its two South Coast sales in July. In Southampton the firm made £2.4m and sold 81% of its catalogue. In Hove, it produced proceeds of £1.6m which gave it a result of 60%.
