Dawnay Shore Hotels is in talks to buy Furlong Hotels for more than £50m.
Furlong owns the Lygon Arms, in the village of Broadway, in the Cotswolds.
It also owns Billesley Manor, near Stratford-upon-Avon and Combe Grove Manor, near Bath.
