US whole foods store sets out UK ambitions

Whole Foods Market, the American grocery giant is set to open a 75,000 sq ft supermarket over three floors in the Barkers department store building on London’s Kensington High Street.

The organic chain, which has declared it has ambitious plans for growth, has said it is looking for up to 70 sites in the UK as a step on the road to European expansion.

WFM bought the Fresh & Wild chain of organic food stores last year for £21m.
