Leeds’ Thorpe Park has received reserved matters planning consent for three office buildings which it will build speculatively.
The three blocks, of 22,750 sq ft, 27,000 sq ft and 30,000 sq ft, will complete the southern sector of the 270 acre park and bring total space so far to more than 600,000 sq ft.
There is enough room for a further 1m sq ft in its northern sector.
This is the fifth speculative office project at Thorpe Park.
Around 200,000 sq ft of space has been taken at the park so far this year by Northern Foods (25,000 sq ft), construction company LNT (22,500 sq ft), civil engineers Hewlett (22,500 sq ft), office space provider Business Homes (40,000 sq ft) and a David Lloyd health club (80,000 sq ft).
Development Manager at Thorpe Park (Leeds), Deborah Doyle, said, “We are extremely confident going on our past success at building speculative projects that we will quickly fill the new capacity on Thorpe Park.
“We have already had good expressions of interest for both leasing the office space and purchasing the completed buildings.”
DTZ and Knight Frank are joint agents at the park.
