Green light for Liberty’s £50m mixed-use scheme in Chester

Chester council has approved Liberty Properties’ proposals for a £50m scheme on the site of the former Cheshire Constabulary headquarters in the Roodee district of Chester.

The £50m mixed-use development will include offices, apartments, a hotel and restaurant.

The planning board’s approval follows two years of consultation between Liberty Properties, Chester council and English Heritage, and allows for demolition of the police HQ.

Liberty is in detailed discussion with various prospective tenants and buyers.

McCormick is the architect for the project.
