Peel ‘shining example’ of private profitability

The performance of Peel Holdings is one example of how the biggest returns are no longer to be found in traditional stock markets, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Profits at Peel Holdings, which went private last year, more than doubled to £64.1m in the year to the end of March.

The newspaper tells how Peel snapped up Mersey Docks this year for £780m and dividends soared to almost £18m from less than £3.2m a year earlier.
