Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has let a 308,000 sq ft chunk of the former British Shoe Corporation’s HQ near Leicester to PB Logistics.
The 575,000 sq ft warehouse and office complex, on the Sunningdale Business Park, was last occupied by Screwfix, who left in November 2004.
Leicester-based Innes England partner Peter Doleman, who advised Merrill Lynch, said PB Logistics had signed a 10-year lease at £3.50 per sq ft.
“They were already on Sunningdale and needed to expand, but only required 308,000 sq ft,” he said.
“Once building work is completed early in 2006, PB will move in and the remaining space will be marketed.”
The 65-acre site is close to J21a of the M1.
M3 jointly advised Merrill Lynch, and PB Logistics was represented by GO Hallam.
