The Court of Appeal has taken away the right of workers who develop pleural plaques to claim compensation.
The decision overturns a High Court ruling that they could claim compensation if they developed the less serious asbestos-related condition.
The Court of Appeal gave permission for the legal fight to continue with a further appeal to the House of Lords.
