Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) will host the Brit Awards from 2008 at the O2 Dome, the new name for the Millennium Dome in Greenwich, south-east London, The Times claims.
AEG has promised to invest £250m in the Dome. But the success of a 23,000-capacity arena depends on a proposal by Sol Kerzner who wants to build a Las Vegas-style casino-hotel next to the site.
Greenwich Council has agreed to grant both a gaming licence if they apply but the government will make the final decision.
The British Phonographic Industry said there was no deal in place after the 2007 Brit Awards.
