Leisure retailers sign up for Xscape Braehead

X-Leisure’s 375,000 sq ft leisure and shopping scheme in Braehead, near Glasgow, is now 80% let after signing up three new tenants.

Quiksilver, Adrenaline Junkie and Evans Cycles have all signed up to open at Xscape Braehead when it opens in April.

Surf and snow wear retailer Quiksilver is taking a 5,000 sq ft store, while urban fashion chain Adrenaline Junkie will take a 2,300 sq ft store.

Bicycle retailer Evans Cycles has signed for a 3,690 sq ft shop.

Xscape Braehead will be anchored by a 200 metre real snow slope and will feature a 12-screen cinema, a 24-lane of bowling alley, extreme sports including two climbing walls and an aerial assault course, family sporting attractions, 37,500 sq ft of urban, lifestyle and sports shops, and 71,000 sq ft of restaurants and bars.

The site also has 1,400 dedicated free car parking spaces.

The project is the third of the Xscape destinations to be built and is a joint venture between Capital & Regional and Capital Shopping Centres.
