Foxtons founder bought £14m mansion from Crown Estate

Foxtons founder Jonathan Hunt and his wife Lois bought 10 Kensington Palace Gardens last year, worth more than £14m, on a 125-year lease from the Crown Estate, according to details from the Land Registry that have just come to light.

The latest report and accounts filed at Companies House for the estate agency chain shows Hunt paid himself a £4m dividend causing retained profit to fall from £5.96m to £1.78m.

The company has opened three more offices in London and had expanded into the wealthy stockbroker belts in Surrey. Foxtons provided loan finance of £2m “at arms length” to Triostrike, which Hunt also owns, to finance the purchase and refurbishment of freehold property in Fulham.
