Kilmartin Property Group board member, David Mitchell, has launched a Scottish-based property investment company, Manse Investments.
The company, established earlier this week, will seek to create a long-term investment portfolio focussing on Scotland and the north of England.
It is anticipated that Manse, funded by HBoS, will have an investment portfolio of £25m to £30m by the end of the year.
Mitchell states: “There is no upper limit really. I will be focussing on lot sizes up to £5m and will have five or six purchases completed by the end of the year.
“Launching Manse Investments fulfils an ambition to set up and run my own company.
“I am fortunate enough to have financial backing, which will allow Manse to grow rapidly.”
Mitchell has been a director and board-member with Kilmartin since 2003 and will continue with the group on a consultancy basis.
He was previously with ING in London and launched the UK Balanced Property Trust while at Scottish Widows Investment Partners.
Nicola Campbell, previously of Arlington Property Investors, has been recruited as an investment manager following Mitchell’s departure.
