Frankfurt Airport operator Fraport says it would be interested in acquiring parts of BAA.
Fraport said it would consider controlling a smaller airport in Britain if one came up from sale as a result of a possible takeover of BAA by Grupo Ferrovial.
BAA airports include Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.
