Ballymore subsidiary Bristol Exeter House has received the go-ahead for Temple Gate, a mixed-use scheme next to Temple Meads station.
Bristol City Council has granted planning permission, subject to a section 106 agreement, for the brownfield scheme which incorporates 1930’s and 1940’s buildings.
Plans include:
· 220 flats ( a proportion of which will be affordable housing)
· 46,000 sq ft of offices
· 9,200 sq ft of retail
· 5,000 sq ft of community facilities
· 32,000 sq ft of open space
· 15,000 sq ft of private gardens
John Turner, group head of planning at Ballymore, said: “We are delighted that members have approved our proposals for a sustainable, mixed-use development at Temple Gate.
“We believe our proposals will enhance the setting of the listed buildings in the area whilst bringing a new vitality and dynamism to this important gateway to the City.”
