The Mall has submitted a planning application to Maidstone council for a £15m mixed-use extension to The Mall shopping centre in Maidstone.
The scheme, designed by Brimelow McSweeney Architects, will creates 34,530 sq ft of retail space, 20,064 sq ft of offices and includes the refurbishment of the existing 63,000 sq ft Stoneborough House.
Subject to approval, construction will commmence mid-2006 with completion scheduled for September 2007.
Ken Ford, Chief Executive of The Mall, said: “The development will supply attractive modern retail and offices for the town centre, giving the opportunity for major occupiers who could not previously be accommodated to look again at Maidstone.”
The Mall owns and operates community shopping centres across the UK.
