Aintree racecourse is under starter’s orders for its £30m grandstand redevelopment.
Owner Racecourse Holdings Trust has unveiled new images of the redevelopment ahead of next Saturday’s Grand National.
The latest phase of the project is centred on two new five-tier grandstands, which will include new terracing, restaurants, bars, hospitality suites, catering and betting facilities.
They will be linked by a walkway and two-tiered bar areas. EC Harris is managing the project on behalf of Racecourse Holdings Trust.
The scheme has been designed by Building Design Partnership and is scheduled to be completed in time for next year’s Grand National.
