Ted Hughes visitor centre planned for Mytholmroyd

The village of Mytholmroyd, in West Yorkshire’s Calder Valley, is to build a visitor centre in the name of Ted Hughes.

The landscape is said to have inspired some of the poet’s finest work.

The Heritage Lottery Fund and Yorkshire Regional Development Agency have pledged £1m each. Work should start on converting a Victorian railway building soon.
