Sainsbury’s takes anchor store at Norwood scheme

Sainsbury’s has been secured as the anchor tenant for the former Morrisons store at Norwood Heights Shopping Centre, Upper Norwood, London.

The 42,000 sq ft store was let on a new 25 year lease at rents of £20 per sq ft.

Sainsbury’s is now in the process of fitting out the store, which is due to open this summer.

Letting agents DTZ were instructed by Legal & General to find a replacement for the store following Morrisons decision to close and place their lease on the market.

Colliers CRE represented Sainsbury’s.
