Insurers have agreed to write a £30m cheque to Northgate Information Solutions to cover the cost of building new company headquarters after the old base was destroyed by the Buncefield oil depot blast.
The news emerged as IT provider Northgate, which is in charge of one in four of Britain’s pay cheques, formally opened a temporary head office, the People’s Building.
