Loughborough developer William Davis has won permission to build a 35,000 sq ft speculative office scheme in Leicester.
The £6m Hamilton Office Park – the first such project in the city’s northern district for a decade – will be built on a two-acre brownfield site, once occupied by a brickworks.
Leicester’s long-term shortages of both new Grade A space, and small ‘own front door’ offices, persuaded William Davis to proceed speculatively.
Construction should start next month, with completion expected next spring.
Joint agents Mather Jamie and Lambert Smith Hampton are quoting £16 per sq ft leasehold, and £175 psf freehold.
