Tesco’s US stores could be union-free

Tesco has indicated that it would like to emulate its leading US competitors when it opens new stores in the US next year by keeping them union-free.

Job ads for two senior human resources executives have listed “maintaining union-free status” and “union avoidance activities” among their responsibilities, although according to the Financial Times the retailer has yet to take a decision on union representation.
